Dear Sir
Would you kindly add my thoughts to Robert Myers’s sad passing?

Having returned from visiting my brother John 90, a bus ride away in Caterham. I informed him of the sudden demise of Bobby Myers – who was his Captain of the School Boxing team in 1944. It leaves both of us very sad.
Bob in Ibbetson house and much senior and a prefect only followed school tradition discipline, one way – honour & obey your elders,
It was only after meeting Bob here in London when I was installed as Hon. Secretary OCA (UK) that I became a member of his circle of friends.
Each meeting brought on stronger friendship and asked me often to visit him in Somerset – now sorry I never did.
Our meeting exchanges carried much interest in School & life stories about Indiaaah!
Unfortunately, Bob’s health took a downturn & was unable to attend the June Reunions. However, by now I was on the Internet we kept regular contact –
up to very recently when he informed me his old school chum Brian ‘Ebby’ Ebsworth (I 40-45) had passed away in Norwich sometime earlier in the year.

I am filled with sorrow as we have lost many Old Cottonians this year.
So before I close please allow me to take the opportunity to wish All Cottonians a Joyous Yuletide & a peaceful Happy NEW YEAR
