I agree with Vijay regarding profiling other achievers. What better way of showing off our school than by highlighting the accomplishments of its students? Vijay Khurana has kept in touch with almost everyone, so please take him seriously when he suggests others who need to be profiled.

I have read a lot of Vijay Stokes’ writings. I agree with Vijay Khurana that there is something in the Stokes genes and in their upbringing for which I salute Mommy and Papa Stokes. Maybe it’s the House of Rivaz.

He is an Exceptional Achiever. Any Cottonian would be proud to claim this association.
The Stokes Clan, starting with their grandfather, has played an enormous part in our freedom movement but also contributed to our society and the state of Himachal Pradesh, in particular. They are the “First Family” of the State for their enormous contributions – politically, socially and economically.
Vijay Stokes has lived in the US for more than 50 years where his contributions to the world of science have been noteworthy. What is noteworthy is that he is still an Indian citizen, proud of his heritage and culture. His nationalism and his patriotism are obvious. We still need more like him!!
His younger brothers, Ashok, Vinod (who, alas passed away in 2020) and Deepak have been exceptional citizens and contributors to society in their own right.
There is something to be said about the Stokes genes and their upbringing, though I daresay BCS did contribute in some measure but they did a lot more on their own steam !! They make us proud.
