Although the words are merely descriptive they brim with emotion.
It must have been 1947 when Mountbatten came for Speech Day. I felt a grim satisfaction when the Provisional IRA did for him in Sligo in 1979.

It takes me back to the dusty, musty, very scruffy days of our lives; when simplicity was at its best and admired. The school gave us an Omar of our own sorts, a friend for life.
